A Different Perspective

The topic that made me look twice was an easy one to disagree with; is adultery acceptable? At first glance I would immediately object the thought someone would feel cheating was simply acceptable. From morals and personal experiences of dishonesty it quickly became the very root of my angst. My own father and past generations of so-called men within the family committed adultery. It was all the reason multiple families were torn apart, and children were left fatherless. It burned within my throat and soul when my own father made promises I knew were not genuine. He was as prepared to leave as the bags he had previously packed. It baffled me in the worst way. How could a man abandon his own flesh and blood for a person as dishonest and wretched as themselves?
After reminiscing on my own negative account I remember something of significance. One of my own close friends had a similar situation. Her mother was the victim of all the abuse I could think of. I can even remember the time she endured a fractured rib from the hands of her own husband. During the time her mother was getting bruises daily she found another man. This man wanted to take care of her and my friend. The new man promised true love and security. So even though she had someone else to give her what she truly deserved, she was still bonded through marriage. This was the only time I felt that adultery was acceptable.

  3. Great examples as stated in the above comment, enjoyed how you explained both sides of the argument to prove your point in the end. No problems as far as I could see. :)
